Fast and flexible, the Océ VarioStream® 8000 series of digital web printers meets the challenges of a wide range of business environments. The systems can be easily upgraded with enhanced speed, Job Appropriate color, print quality, MICR, processing power and more, providing the flexibility you need to handle new applications without investing in a completely new system.
The printers, which are equipped with the latest and most powerful SRA 4 controller and state-of-the-art ZG4 LED imaging, scale from the Océ VarioStream 8550 Simplex at 530 images per minute to the 1,500 image-per-minute Océ VarioStream 8750 Twin. The systems support multiple print architectures and resolutions, MICR, triplex, duplex and simplex output, Production and Graphics Quality.

Features
- The latest controller and LED imaging technology
A powerful SRA4 print controller, scalable in memory and processing power,
features Automatic Resolution switching to support 240, 300 and 600 dpi data
streams and up to three interfaces. The latest ZG4 LED image generator provides
the best possible image quality at the fastest speeds. Super Cell technology
supports 256 gray levels.
- Wider print and paper width
Océ VarioStream 8000 systems are equipped with a 19.5-inch paper width
and 19.5-inch print width, enabling printing of three-up 6 x 9 or A5 books with
bleed and trim margins.
- Enhanced Print Quality (EPQ)
This standard feature uses transfer rollers instead of an electrostatic charge
to produce sharper images, text, and graphics on a wide range of substrates.
When used with Graphics Quality, the result is the industry benchmark for
image quality in the class.
- Production Quality and Graphics Quality
Offering the best of both worlds—low-cost, high-speed printing and/or
high-quality POD printing, Océ VarioStream 8000 systems can be configured
for Production and/or Graphics Quality, using cost-effective consumables or
premium consumables for high quality halftones and images.
- Quick Change Developer Station (QCDS)
Convenient, intelligent developer stations can be quickly changed to print
standard black toner, MICR toner, up to 400 Océ CustomTone highlight
(spot) and custom-blended colors. With QCDS, you use Océ Job Appropriate
Color to add just the right amount of color to a job.
- Super Cell technology
Super Cell technology can produce output that simulates up to 256 gray scales,
gives halftones a more photo-realistic look and feel, enables smoother multi-CustomTone
and process color output, and can be automatically applied to customer data
without changes. Super Cell technology is compatible with monochrome, Océ
CustomTone, and process color images.
- UP3i interface for maximum productivity
To deliver maximum productivity, the Océ VarioStream 8000 features
a Universal Printer Pre- and Post-processing interface—UP3i—to
communicate with all modules in the production line.
