Océ's Second Annual "Green Reprographer of the Year" Award
Application Submission Guidelines
The Océ "Green Reprographer of the Year" award recognizes outstanding achievement in incorporating green business practices in your shop. By making efforts to utilize fewer resources as well as minimizing the environmental impact of your company’s operations, Océ would like to recognize you for your contribution toward a more sustainable environment.
Submission Process
All entry materials must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CT on March 27, 2009. To download a PDF of the electronic application form, click here.
Follow these steps to use the Application Form PDF:
- Download the PDF form to your desktop or in a file on your computer hard drive.
- Fill in the electronic PDF application form. The PDF form allows you to type in your answers electronically.
- Save the form and come back to it as many times as needed once you save it. For ease, we recommend saving it to your desktop.
- Once your form is completed and you are ready to submit it, click on the link ONA.CorpComm@oce.com and a new email message will pop up with the "To:" field filled in with this address as the recipient.
- Insert your saved PDF application form by clicking on "Insert", then "File", then click on the saved application form document. Click "Insert", and the PDF form should now be attached in the email to ONA.CorpComm@oce.com

- Click "Send". If you prefer to fax your application, send it to 773-714-2601.

Criteria
The judging of the entry materials will be based on the following factors:
- Products used in your business that reduce the impact on the environment;
- Services provided to your customers to benefit the environment;
- Facility changes or improvements reducing the impact on the environment; or
- Employee programs supporting environmental conservation.
You may submit entry materials that support one or more of these factors.
Who Can Enter
Any reprographer 1) who is engaged in a pay-for-print printing business located in the one of the fifty states of the United States and 2) whose total business is comprised of 51% or greater wide format printing. Wide format printing is defined as printing that utilizes media that is a minimum of 24 inches in width. A reprographic printing business may include technical document printing or display graphics applications, i.e. signs shops, screen printers, and photo labs. Applicants must be 21 years or older as of March 27, 2009. Limit one entry per company.
Who determines the winner
Entry materials will be judged based on the following factors: Product, Services, Facility and Employee Programs. All entry materials will be evaluated by a panel of judges consisting of industry experts, including the Editor of Wide Format Imaging magazine, the Managing Editor of Building Design & Construction magazine and a writer on green issues for Repro Report magazine.
Recognition of the Award
The winner will receive:
- A recognition plaque
- National recognition through an Océ press release
- Potential write up in a national trade publication
- An application profile describing the company’s sustainable business practices
- Award graphic for use on company collateral/advertisements/etc.
Award Announcement
Océ will announce the winner of the Award via a press release on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 11:30am (CT). Océ will also post the winner on www.oceusa.com.
