BERTL 4 star Highly Recommended Award for Océ CPS800 Platinum, CPS900 Platinum and Océ Color Production Tandems
CHICAGO—October 15, 2006—Océ (NASDAQ: OCENY), a global leader in digital document management and delivery solutions, announces that Océ has received a BERTL 4-star Highly Recommended award for the Océ CPS800 Platinum, Océ CPS900 Platinum and Océ Color Production Tandem (CPT) systems. The award follows extensive testing and technical evaluation of the Océ systems by the Digital Production Division of BERTL, the US-based publisher of news, research and analysis on digital imaging systems. The award validates that the Océ CPS 800 Platinum and CPS900 Platinum deliver the productivity of much larger, costlier digital printers with slightly higher speed. Color consistency of the Océ systems was also highlighted in BERTL's report, even across multiple Océ CPS systems and different job printing times and locations.
Both the Océ CPS800 Platinum and CPS900 Platinum systems have an engine speed of 30 letter impressions per minute, and 34 letter impressions per minute on ledger-size media for all supported media weights. Unlike other traditional printers, the Océ CPS digital color printers can duplex in a single cycle at full-rated speed up to the highest media weights. Productivity is further enhanced by reliable, easy-to-use functions that require minimal user intervention.

Offset-like Look and Feel

Both systems are the first seven color digital printers with simultaneous CMYK and RGB. This process, known as Océ Copy Press technology, creates a toner mono-layer, which is literally pressed into the paper. The systems can also run a wide variety of media, including textured and embossed papers. Print output is easy to handle for finishing, with no toner cracking when folding and trouble free laminating and varnishing.
