Océ VarioPrint 2070 and 2090 Systems Recommended by Buyers Laboratory Inc.
Outstanding Reliability Certified in High-Volume Lab Testing
BOCA RATON, FL September 13, 2004 Océ (NASDAQ: OCENY), a global leader in digital document management and delivery solutions, today announced that the solid performance of the Océ VarioPrintTM 2070 and 2090 multi-functional earned them coveted recommendations from Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI). BLI is one of the nation’s leading sources for reliable, independent product testing for the office equipment industry.
BLI receives no advertising compensation from equipment manufacturers, ensuring that all recommendations are earned solely on merits of performance. All product evaluations are conducted by experienced employees in the company’s on-site facility, where more than 100 products are evaluated each year.
Regarding the 62 page-per-minute Océ VarioPrint 2070 multifunctional digital system, BLI reported, "The Océ VarioPrint 2070 is one of the most reliable Segment 4 units tested, turning in a flawless reliability performance during the three-month evaluation. The system required no service calls of any kind, and did not experience even a single misfeed during the 450,000-impression test." The appraisal lauded the Océ machine stating, "Contributing to high uptime for this unit is a photoconductor life that at, 750,000 impressions, is longer than that of most models in this speed range. Like other Océ-manufactured products tested by BLI, this product features study construction that will help it meet the demands of high-volume production environments such as central reprographic departments, in-plant print shops and print-for-pay environments."
BLI’s appraisal of the 85 page-per-minute Océ VarioPrint 2090 multifunctional digital system, described it as "a highly reliable workhorse with by far the best record for (lack of) misfeeding in Segment 5 units tested." The report continues, "Remarkably, the Océ VarioPrint 2090 completed its 750,000-impression durability test without a single misfeed, placing it at the top of Segment 5 in terms of misfeed performance."
"One of our goals is to help make buyers aware of products that provide strong reliability. BLI’s rigorous lab testing has clearly shown that these Océ VarioPrint systems do," said Tony Polifrone, BLI Managing Director.
"Océ is proud to receive these recommendations from BLI as it recognizes truly best-in-class systems," said Carl Joachim, vice president of Marketing for the Digital Document Systems Division of Océ North America. "The Buyers Laboratory distinction is one of the most coveted in the office equipment industry, and the results of the recent tests acknowledge the rock solid reliability and performance advantage we strive for in all of our Océ products."
The Océ VarioPrint 2070 and 2090 are some of the most versatile multifunctional digital printing systems on the market. Each handles scanning, printing and copying of a wide range of documents and supports the various media and finishing requests of multiple users.
