Océ Introduces the ColorWave 650, Large Format Printer for Black and White and Color

February 9, 2012, Trumbull, CT – Océ, a Canon Group Company and an international leader in digital document management and delivery, today announced the launch of its new Océ ColorWave® 650 printing system. It allows technical users to print, copy and scan in black and white and color – on a single device – without sacrificing productivity or quality. This system builds on the proven, award-winning Océ CrystalPoint® technology to deliver outstanding performance for technical documents.

"The new Océ ColorWave 650 is unmatched in its ability to efficiently produce both black and white and color documents on a single machine," says Sal Sheikh, Vice President, Marketing, Wide Format Printing Systems, Océ North America. "Technical document users will benefit from the ability to replace multiple printing systems and reduce turn-around time – leading to overall increased efficiency and an optimized capital investment."

All-Around Productivity
It no longer takes hours to print a set of color documents. The Océ ColorWave 650 printer can print in black and white and color at up to 210 D-size prints per hour for all around productivity. The system can hold up to six media rolls and prints come out dry, cut to size and ready to use. With the optional online folder, different folded packages can be prepared and printed right from the desktop.

Effortless Operation
Today's knowledge workers want their document equipment to work intuitively with as little effort as possible. This system simplifies routine tasks to save time and reduce mistakes. Users can define up to five Copy and Scan templates with their most common settings to avoid clicking through endless menus. Whether copying, scanning or printing, the system can be set-up to produce the right results at the touch of a button.

Océ CrystalPoint Technology Quality
The Océ ColorWave 650 printer delivers unique Océ CrystalPoint quality – sharp lines, high readability of fine details and smooth even area fills. The media independency of Océ CrystalPoint technology gives prints a unique silk-shine look and feel. The Océ ColorWave 650 printer uses solid Océ TonerPearls® toner and Océ CrystalPoint technology to deliver robust and water fast color prints on plain paper. Toner crystallization ensures strong adhesion to any media. Absence of toner feathering provides unmatched accuracy. Additionally, the system's durable imaging devices ensure output quality is always the same, over time on different Océ ColorWave systems.

Sustainability Secure
The unique Océ TonerPearls toner cartridges make for a totally clean system: there's no fine dust, no odor and minimal waste disposal.
