This version installs directly on top of previously installed versions of client tools. For those customers submitting jobs from Océ Client Tools to Océ ReproDesk Professional, Select or Studio it?s extremely important NOT to remove the existing ?Océ Client Tools with Plugin?, as removing this application will sever the connection with Océ ReproDesk.
Océ Client Tools is a free, timesaving, communication-enhancing software tool. Océ Client Tools automates the drawing printing and communication process. It ensures high-quality printing, with none of the time, effort and waste associated with traditional plotting techniques.
This integrated download is free and installs several utilities:
Océ Publisher - Assemble a set of DWG, DWF, TIFF, PLT and other file types, convert them into a print-ready format (LDF) and preview them in a WYSIWYP state. Submit prepared files to a number of different destinations (see below).
Océ LDF Driver for AutoCAD - Convert a DWG file into a print-ready format and preview it in a WYSIWYP state. Submit prepared files to a number of different destinations (see below). The LDF Driver for AutoCAD can be used to plot DWG files to a print ready LDF file (the driver does not submit the file to a destination or provide image preview capability).
Océ LDF Driver for Windows - Convert a file from within any Windows-compatible application into a print-ready format and preview it in a WYSIWYP state. Submit prepared files to Océ Plan Center digital plan rooms. Please note, the Windows Driver does not contain preview capabilities. Since this will be a feature in 2.x, the submissions should be to all available destinations (like Publisher). Files cannot be sent to Plan Center with Client Tools 2.0.
Océ Document Viewer - Preview prepared files in a WYSIWYP state from within Microsoft Windows Explorer. View thumbnail images in Explorer or preview and adjust images in a full-screen viewer. Please note, this viewer only previews LDF files. It can be launched by double clicking a LDF in Microsoft Windows Explorer, but the current wording makes it sound like it views in Internet Explorer like a web page, which is not the case. Also, the Viewer is read-only so there is no ability to adjust images. Lastly, the LDF Viewer can also submit files to all available destinations.
Océ Proxy Manager - Configure how the Océ Client Tools transfer data over the Internet through corporate proxy servers.
Océ Make LDF - A command line utility (MakeLDF.exe) to convert native files to the LDF format.
Submission Destinations
Océ Client Tools can be used to submit files to the following destinations:
Océ Repro Desk® Printer - Submit files to a network printer that is enabled with Océ Repro Desk® Server 1.6.x.
Print to File - Save files to a local network directory. From Microsoft Windows Explorer these files can be viewed using the Océ Document Viewer, and submitted to the above destinations by right-clicking the file names or thumbnail images.
Océ Repro Desk® Server 2.x via Direct Transfer or Job Center Queue
